About Us:
i5 LED is a leader in innovative LED lighting and display solutions, serving clients across various industries. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service/Install Technician to join our team on a direct-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in LED installations, electrical troubleshooting, and soldering, with a willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. and occasionally to Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install LED lighting systems and displays at client sites across the U.S. and occasionally in Canada.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of LED systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues, including LED components, wiring, and control systems.
- Solder and rewire LED systems and components as needed.
- Provide on-site technical support and customer service to clients.
- Conduct system upgrades, modifications, and testing to ensure system efficiency and safety.
- Document work performed and communicate findings to the project team.
Requirements:
- Must-have skills: Soldering, electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and circuit board repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred).
- Previous experience in electrical systems, LED installations, or related technical work.
- Proficient understanding of wiring, digital controls, lighting technology, and power distribution systems.
- Ability to travel 50%-75% of the time throughout the U.S. and occasionally to Canada.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in various indoor/outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LED signage or display technologies.
- Familiarity with digital control systems and programming for lighting setups.
- OSHA certification or knowledge of electrical safety regulations.
