Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Westfield Gardens, Westfield, MA
Westfield Gardens, an 80-bed skilled nursing facility in Westfield, MA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to join our team in a full-time role. This position focuses on overseeing nursing services, with a special emphasis on wound care and infection control.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of the nursing department to deliver exceptional resident care.
- Manage and oversee wound care programs and infection control protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct admissions assessments and participate in resident screening.
- Review nursing documentation for accuracy and adherence to care protocols.
- Perform daily rounds to observe resident care and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with physicians and engage with residents to ensure individual care needs are met.
- Assist in developing and updating MDS schedules, RAPs, and triggers with the care planning team.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN supervisory experience as an ADON in a long-term care setting.
- Strong expertise in wound care and infection control.
- Ability to step in on the floor when necessary and support nursing staff.
