Location: Hybrid - defined as three days in office if residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH or Charlotte, NC OR Remote - if residence is over 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH

Responsibilities:
- Supports the Commercial Surety unit.
- Provides technical assistance to agents on navigational questions and procedures in WesCom Surety. Provide training in WesCom Surety to agents.
- Assists new business and renewal underwriters in securing additional underwriting information on bonds which includes, but is not limited to, additional credit reports, D&B reports, bond forms, statutes, applications and other information as directed by the underwriter.
- Resolves agency matters including, but not limited to: researching and correcting premium accounting differences, assisting agents with proper bond forms, WesCom welcome kits, and power of attorney requests.
- Responsible for operation of reporting, processing, and filing systems for bonds produced inside and outside of WesCom Surety platform.
- Effectively communicates with agents, customers and home office bond department.
- Accurately enters new bond configurations into WesCom surety including mapping bond forms and updating obligee forms as needed.
- Continues to increase understanding and application of commercial surety underwriting acumen.
- Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of customer care, Loan Processor or similar experience.
- Strong organizational skills gained through previous work experiences.
- Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing work via previous work assignments.
- Excellent telephone and customer care skills.
- Experience analyzing problems and developing strategies for resolution.
- Knowledge and experience in general business processes and workflows.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Experience being accurate with a focus on attention to details.
- Experience using Excel and Adobe PDF.
- Associates degree or commensurate experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
- Physical essential functions: ability to work 40 hours in an office environment (sitting, standing, on a computer, etc.), operate office related technology (computer, phone, etc.), travel as required.
