What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPECIAL EDUCATION EXTENDED YEAR SUMMER PROGRAM 2025 - CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT position at Westfield Public Schools?
Applications will be accepted for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Westfield Public School District for the 2024 Special Education Extended Year Program. This program is scheduled to begin July 7, 2025 and continue for four weeks, Monday – Thursday (no Friday dates) ending on July 31, 2025.
Training Date:
July 1, 2025 (all staff) 8:30 am – 3:00 pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch
No School on Fridays
Preference will be given to candidates possessing previous Westfield Public School Summer Program experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position subject to funding.
REPORTS TO:
Special Education Supervisor and Building Principal.
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.

- Assist in providing therapy to small and large groups of children.
- Assist in planning therapy activities and in making/coordinating materials.
- Assist in keeping records.
- Assist occupational therapist during assignments.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
