What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPED EXTENDED YEAR SUMMER PROGRAM 2025 - LEAD TEACHER position at Westfield Public Schools?
This program is scheduled to begin July 7, 2025 and end July 31, 2025. The duration of the program is for four weeks, Monday through Thursday (no Friday dates).
Training Dates:
July 1, 2025 (8:30 to 3:00 with a ½ hour unpaid lunch)
Coordinator Hours:
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday
Student Hours:
9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday
Preparation Time:
20 hours
Starting Date:
February 13, 2025
Ending Date:
July 25, 2025
Preference shall be given to candidates possessing previous Westfield Public School Extended Year Summer Program experience.
In this position the successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and maintaining IEPs along with the scheduling of program services. This position is the liaison between parents and school in addition to being the responsible on-site coordinator.
The successful candidate will also maintain attendance records and assist in interviewing and recommending the paraprofessionals, specialists and assistants.
Responsibilities will also include evaluation of staff (teachers and paraprofessionals). Data will also be collected to document delivery of student services and progress.
REPORTS TO:
SPED Extended Year Summer Program Coordinator and Administrator of Special Education and Student Support Services.
The salary for this position is $46.65 per hour with no benefits, not to exceed a total of 87 hours.
This position subject to funding.
