Salary : $70,000 to $90,000 Annually (salary commensurate with education and experience)
General Statement of Duties :
The Westfield State University Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant / Associate Professor of Mathematics with a specialization in statistics, applied mathematics, data analysis, or a related field with a start date of September 1st, 2025.
The Department of Mathematics values active learning environments. Faculty in our department are encouraged to implement novel and engaging pedagogical methods that are active and inclusive. The successful applicant will have access to robust support and advising from the mathematics faculty as they hone and evolve their teaching philosophies.
Westfield State University is proud to consider itself a teaching university. The teaching load is 24 credits each year, typically 12 credits each semester. Every faculty member in the department will be able to teach courses in the calculus sequence, upper-level courses for STEM majors, and introductory courses for non-STEM majors. Most courses are capped at 25 students.
