Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers and service technicians in identifying, locating, and purchasing the appropriate automotive parts and accessories. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and service technicians in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and other information promptly.
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit special orders as necessary.
- Ensure all parts and accessories are properly billed and accounted for.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe parts department.
- Stay informed about new products and changes in automotive parts and accessories.
- Collaborate with the service and sales departments to meet customer needs and achieve dealership goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with inventory management and dealership management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
