Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves engaging with children in various activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure each child's needs are met while fostering a love for learning. All applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 19 years old.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to the developmental stages of children.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and educational activities.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance on appropriate social interactions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Support children with special needs through individualized education plans (IEPs) as required.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Experience in caregiving or nannying is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children's social skills.
- Ability to educate children through engaging activities that promote learning.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- First aid certification is beneficial.
