Job Description
Directly supervises team members in the Front Desk. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
As The Front Desk Supervisor, You Will
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
- Transmits and receives telephone messages.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests.
- Keeps records of room availability and guest's accounts.
- Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
- Makes and confirms reservations.
- Prepares daily reports (credit limit, cash)
- Reviews daily arrivals and departures
- Coordinates with housekeeping when VIP Guests arrive.
- Training all new Front Desk personnel.
- Sets up Front Desk meetings.
- Makes Front Desk Schedule.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
- Excellent customer service skills
