Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

The Count Room Member is responsible for the accurate counting, recording, and reconciling of all cash, coin, and other monetary items collected from gaming machines or revenue-generating areas. This position requires strict adherence to internal control procedures and a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

1. Collect, count, and verify currency, coin, and vouchers from slot machines, kiosks, or revenue-generating operations.
2. Operate currency counting machines, coin sorters, and other related equipment.
3. Record totals and reconcile discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Maintain detailed logs and reports related to all count room activities.
5. Adhere to all internal control policies, gaming regulations, and company procedures.
6. Ensure the security and confidentiality of all cash and assets.
7. Participate in audits and support investigations of variances or irregularities.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the count room.
9. Follow safety guidelines and report any suspicious activities or discrepancies.
10. Support fellow team members and supervisors as needed.

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

1. Ability to act independently.
2. Ability to lift and carry coins, validator cans and cassettes weighing more or less 50 to 70lbs.
3. Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and complete buy fills.
4. Ability to comprehend and understand the English language to follow instructions from supervisor, inquiries/requests from guests and communicate with other employees.
5. Ability to understand verbal English in case of emergency situations.
6. Basic mathematical skills necessary to complete buy fills and count and weigh drop.
7. Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use electric carts, computer keyboard.
8. Ability to operate electric cart, coin wrapper, push cart, coin counter, scale, and computer to complete daily count.
9. Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
10. Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
11. Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance.
