What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commissary Delivery Driver position at Westgate Transportation Co?
Position: Class A CDL Night Delivery Driver for Bakery, Deli, and Store Goods.
Primary Function: The safe and efficient operation of a Class A CDL tractor and trailer. This driver position requires loading and unloading of goods in varied conditions.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Wesco Bakery Lead Driver
Functions:
- Safe and efficient driving of a tractor trailer combination vehicle.
- Physical ability to load and unload freight in various conditions.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of assets.
- Utilize safe practices while meeting established schedules.
- Promote a customer and associate a centric based passion for service and hospitality throughout the organization.
- Promotes safe work practices to create a safe work environment.
- Exemplifies and advocates the WESCO Brand image throughout the Organization.
- Follows all rules, laws and standards set by WESCO, State and Federal Entities.
- Team oriented and works well with others.
- Responsible and dependable.
- Possess a love to serve other people and the public.
Qualifications:
- Understands and advocates WESCO’s commitment to its Mission Statement, Unifying Principles and Company Guidelines.
- Maintain a professional appearance that is reflective of our commitment to quality.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass a DOT Physical, pre-employment criminal background check, DOT drug screen, and driving test on company equipment.
- Maintains a valid Michigan Class A CDL Driver’s License.
