What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assisted Living Activities Coordinator position at Westgate Villa Assisted Living?
We are looking for an Activities Director Assistant to join our team and help create a fun and engaging environment for our residents. This position can grow into the DIRECTOR position.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and be able to develop and implement a variety of activities that will promote physical, mental, and social well-being. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading activities that are tailored to the interests of our residents. They must also be able to manage volunteers and staff members while ensuring all activities are conducted safely.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement recreational activities for residents.
- Supervise and direct staff in the planning and implementation of activities.
- Ensure that activities are safe and appropriate for the age and abilities of the residents.
- Maintain records of activities and attendance.
- Provide feedback to staff regarding their performance in implementing activities.
- Develop relationships with outside organizations to provide additional activities for residents.
- Maintain a budget for activities.
