Westlake Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Heavy Equipment Rigger for our site in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years industrial background and 5 years of experience in heavy equipment rigging. Proficiency in inspecting and utilizing various types of rigging equipment, including wire rope, chain, synthetic web slings, hooks, shackles, eye bolts, hoist rings, turnbuckles, spreader/lifting beams, load blocks, sheaves, hoists, chain falls, and come-alongs, is required.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and properly use all types of rigging equipment.
- Comply with OSHA requirements when hoisting personnel.
- Interpret rated capacity charts for wire rope, slings, and rigging hardware.
- Maintain working knowledge of cranes and certifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years industrial background.
- Minimum 5 years heavy equipment rigging experience.
- NCCER/NCCCO certification for Rigger/Signal Person.
- Able to maintain certification upon employment.
