Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fraud Analyst to join our Originations Fraud Team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential fraud during the loan origination process. You will play a key role in protecting the company and maintaining the integrity of the loan application process by reviewing and investigating loan documents, stipulations and detecting red flags.
Fraud Detection & Prevention:
- Analyze loan applications and supporting documents for signs of fraud or inconsistencies during the auto loan origination process.
- Conduct thorough investigations Identify and flag suspicious fraud patterns or trends.
- Investigate potential fraud by cross-referencing information from various sources, including credit reports, LexisNexis, Sentilink.
- Document findings and report potential fraud cases to manager.
- Participate in the development of fraud-related training for new and existing employees.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of fraud detection techniques and risk management strategies.
- Proficient in using fraud detection tools.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information with discretion.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience in collections or specialized debt servicing preferred.
- Previous work experience in the automotive finance industry preferred.
MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:
- Daybreak or other retail consumer servicing systems
- Web navigation and/or web-based applications
- Personal computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 10-key calculator and QWERTY keyboard skills
- Copier, Faxing & other general office supplies
What’s the expected pay for this role?
- $17.28 per hour with potential monthly bonus pay.
- The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
