We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Tax Director to lead and manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning for a consolidated group of over 15 companies. The consolidated Westlake group is a Partnership LLC structure, with 3 of our subsidiaries designated as C-Corps. This position requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, exceptional organizational abilities, and strategic leadership to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
The Corporate Tax Director will be responsible for managing the Tax team, service providers, work streams and internal tax projects at Westlake. The candidate will work closely with other Westlake personnel in accounting, legal, finance, and IT, along with our external service providers, to manage tax risk across Westlake entities and drive accurate and timely tax reporting across various subsidiaries. The role demands a results-oriented professional with advanced technical knowledge and leadership capabilities to ensure we meet regulatory deadlines, develop tax strategies, and maintain compliance with evolving tax regulations.

WESTLAKE WARRIOR | Tax Director
Brief Descriptions :
DUTIES, TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES (include, But Not Limited To)
- Leading a team of 4 internal tax professionals, while helping them grow and develop their careers;
- Overseeing the filing of federal, state and local tax documents including performing review, updating and validating the accuracy of necessary information for tax preparers;
- Developing and implementing tax strategies that optimize our federal, state and local taxation positions while remaining compliant with applicable laws.
- Working with external service providers to manage tax reporting deliverables to investors and internal stakeholders;
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential tax issues or exposures;
- Advising on tax implications of certain business decisions, complex transactions or restructuring activities;
- Presenting updates on a regular basis to executives and the Board of Directors, including key tax-matters, progress on upcoming deadlines and department initiatives;
- Maintaining legislative materials and reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised tax laws to define the impact on the Company;
- Maintaining compliance with regulations and forwarding all required information to federal, state, and local authorities;
- Revising current state procedures by developing and streamlining processes, documentation and worksheets for calculation of tax provisions;
- Reviewing tax provision schedules for completeness and accuracy, ensuring that all documents meet audit requirements;
- Managing responses to tax audits or inquiries from regulatory authorities, ensuring all documentation and responses are accurate and timely;
- Identifying profitability of potential mergers and acquisitions by analyzing tax information; calculating key ratios; identifying areas of tax savings.
