SUMMARY
With direction from the shift supervisor, this position will support the post extrusion operations including, but not limited to Zuri® trim folding, fabrication, cutting, and packaging.
This position will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, loading and offbearing material, cutting material, product inspection, packing, and operating a forklift to move in-process and finished product.
The mix of duties will vary based on production needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operation of Zuri® fold machine
- Set up and operation of molder
- Set up and operation of corner fold machine
- Meet daily production rate set by management
- Follow quality specifications and maintain level of quality consistent with standards
- Comply with and enforce safety and environmental policies and standards
- Identify potential safety risks and take corrective action in accordance with established safety rules
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy
- Perform other duties as assigned to satisfaction of Production Supervisor
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Proficient with label printing software
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Ability to read digital calipers
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to use a stapler, bander and safety knife
