SUMMARY
Responsible for accurately receiving, storing, controlling, and delivering raw materials to facilitate the FAB department as needed. Assisting the receiving process associated with receiving all inbound items into the facility, basic material ordering, schedule of trucks, and dock appointments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all safety polices and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
- Maintains a clean and organized office in addition to a logical filing system for important records; keep raw material warehouse clean and organized and locations marked (5S)
- Accurately pull and issue material from inventory for on-time delivery to designated production areas, then promptly return to stock all unused material when order is complete.
- Receives all inbound paperwork for all materials and products into the facilities, Routes delivered items to departments, transfer regrind to plant as needed.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Ensure that all ordered items are physically present before turning into accounts payable for payment of vendor, verify information against bills of lading, invoices, purchase order numbers, and other records.
- Must learn and maintain a working knowledge of what raw material goes into which finished product, learn product storage areas.
- Must initiate and keep accurate records regarding all raw material movement, assist in maintaining inventory control through daily cycle counts, annual audit inventories, accurate inventory counts in SAP by item & location.
- Verify COQ / COA on incoming sourced materials.
- Help with UPS and LTL receiving.
- Coordinate with quality on ensuring compliance to specifications on incoming parts and sourced materials.
- Assist with calls to the receiving office and relay all information to the rest of the logistics team, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform daily inspections on equipment as required and assigned (forklifts, pallet wrapper, pallet jack, etc.); inform appropriate personnel when repairs are needed – safely operates forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Label, sort, wrap, pack, repack, assure count / code and consolidate partial pallets to conserve space, transfer material using RF guns.
- Need to stock and maintain materials on all lathes that are not scheduled for a changeover in fabrication.
- Communicate effectively with logistics and production teams.
- Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid, hot and cold conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
