SUMMARY
To grind all scrap PVC pipe that has been scrapped for one reason or another so that it can be ran back on the extruder as a good quality product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Must be forklift certified and able to operate the forklift safely
- All pipe must be free of mud and dirt
- No burnt or discolored pipe should be ground
- Pipe must be checked for gaskets or foreign material before grinding
- Must keep scale and pulverize area clean following 5S standards
- Do necessary paperwork given to you by your supervisor
- Keep the cracker area clean (inside).
- Keep the cracker and pulverize areas clean inside and outside
- Questions pertaining to any area must be directed to your supervisor. Questions such as pipe that is burnt or discolored, machine noises, etc.
- Any duties assigned by your supervisor
- This role does not have direct or indirect supervision responsibilities of Westlake or contract personnel.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
