We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team at Westlake. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, preparing bid comparisons, and maintaining relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate purchasing activities, including preparing bid comparisons and evaluating vendor proposals
- Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and delivery terms
- Assist in preparing and submitting purchase requisitions and bids
- Develop and maintain a preferred vendor database
- Provide excellent customer service to internal customers
Requirements:
- B.S./B.A. in Business or Engineering field with a minimum of 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software
