Westland School is searching for a compassionate and dedicated high school math teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This position has the option to be full-time or part time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lessons that align with curriculum and state standards.
- Deliver engaging instruction in Algebra I and Geometry.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Assess student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and presentations.
- Collaborate with fellow educators in instructional design to enhance curriculum delivery.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with high school students preferred.
- Knowledge of Algebraic and Geometric concepts required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
- Spanish is a plus
