Westlie Truck Center of Minot, proudly representing Freightliner, Western Star, CAT, Detroit Diesel and Allison Trailers, has an immediate opening for a Heavy Duty Parts Warehouse Lead. Westlies has served NW ND for over 100 years. This is an outstanding career opportunity for someone with Inventory control experience. In the role of Warehouse Lead, you will unload freight using manual and motorized equipment, check orders for accuracy, and report any discrepancies. You’ll also keep inventory organized through efficient scanning and data entry, ensuring our parts warehouse is always well-organized. You’ll prepare shipments with accurate item selection and loading. Sometimes, you’ll drive a company vehicle for deliveries and pickups. Your role as a Warehouse Lead also involves keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and accessible, contributing to property maintenance, and adhering to safety standards while efficiently accomplishing your tasks.
Qualifications
- A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of computer inventory control systems a plus
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
- Resourceful, collaborative team player with the ability to also thrive independently
- The willingness and ability to work on powered equipment (forklift, etc.)
Physical requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk on a hard surface for the duration of your shift
- Frequently bend, squat, pull, push, and reach throughout your shift
