Position Summary: As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst at Westmark Credit Union, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, constructing, and delivering data-driven tools to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role requires adaptability and a willingness to acquire new skills in response to evolving business needs. You will frequently collaborate with various departments to understand their goals and provide actionable insights through data analytics and visualization.
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours within a Monday through Friday work week.
Travel Requirements: Travel for support at company locations required
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of financial business data and key performance drivers.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports using data analytics and visualization techniques.
- Create, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards, transforming data into meaningful tables and visuals that highlight key insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to gather and analyze business requirements for reporting solutions.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to staff, enabling effective use of BI platforms and data-driven decision-making.
- Stay updated on advancements in BI technologies, tools, and methodologies, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Establish standards and guidelines for BI report development and delivery.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to both technical and non-technical employees.
- Work closely with the business intelligence and business analysis teams to support data-driven initiatives.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the organization's data strategy.
- Assist in consolidating and organizing multiple data sources to enhance BI reporting.
- Perform routine maintenance and optimization of databases and other data sources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Power BI) and experience working with relational databases.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL, including query writing and database management.
- Experience with system-to-system integration tools.
