Position Summary: Under general direction is responsible for performing income tax analysis and accurate document preparation for HELOC, second mortgage, and short-term first mortgage requests. Works closely with Underwriters and Branch Lenders to communicate findings and recommendations.
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours within a Monday through Friday work week
Work Location: Idaho Falls or Boise
Remote/Hybrid: Remote/Hybrid eligible
Responsibilities:
- Assist members with loan questions through FSCC transfers and online chats.
- Prepare loan documents for Home Equity and Second Mortgages, ensuring compliance.
- Conduct income tax analysis for self-employed borrowers.
- Assist Underwriters in loan processing tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to promote a Full Service Culture.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the VP of Consumer Lending.
Qualifications:
- Six months or more experience in lending at Westmark or equivalent experience at another financial institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting; or a combination of education and relevant experience.

- Advanced Excel proficiency for data management.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to lending functions.
- Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Visual and auditory abilities to understand and communicate with the public.
- Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs., if required for departmental tasks.
