Position Summary : The Loan Processor plays a critical role in the daily operations of the Central Loan Processing department. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate handling of department mail, providing loan payoff quotes, processing paid loans, reviewing loan documentation, and supporting branch employees. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality control to maintain efficient loan operations.

Schedule : Average of 40 hours within a Monday through Friday work week

Remote / Hybrid : Not Remote / Hybrid Eligible

Responsibilities :

Mail and Document Processing :

Sort, organize, and distribute department mail daily.

Scan documents received from branches for accurate record-keeping.

Loan Processing and Maintenance :

Quote loan payoffs (written and oral) to members, title companies, or financial institutions.

Process paid loans and reconveyances.

Review advance line, credit card, signature, and vehicle-secured loans for accuracy.

Process promotional credit card balance transfers.

Branch and Lender Support :

Act as the branch representative, handling loan-related duties and requests.

Respond to email and phone inquiries from lenders promptly and professionally.

Team Collaboration and Additional Duties :

Assist other Central Loan Processing employees as needed.

Perform any and all duties assigned by the CLP Manager.

Requirements : Key Competencies :

Technical Expertise :

Comprehensive knowledge of loan documentation and processing procedures.

Accuracy in calculating and quoting payoffs.

Organizational and Analytical Skills :

Ability to manage and organize large volumes of mail, documents, and loan files.

Analytical skills to ensure accuracy in loan review and reporting.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills :

Professional, courteous interaction with members, team members, and external stakeholders.

Effective written and verbal communication to support branch and lender inquiries.

Reliability and Professionalism :

Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of accountability for tasks.

Positive and professional demeanor in representing the organization.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in using PCs, 10-key calculators, and loan processing systems.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements :

Manual dexterity for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment.

Ability to sit for extended periods.

Visual and auditory capabilities for effective communication.

Repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers.

Occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs., if required.
