Reporting to the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar for Academic Services is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate student records. This person will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide expertise and guidance relevant to Westminster College's academic calendar, registration, awarding of degrees, and academic policies. The Assistant Registrar for Academic Services is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and maintenance of student records in compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation regulations as well as college policies and procedures. The Assistant Registrar for Academic Services often works independently and makes decisions without supervision while ensuring a positive student experience.

Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Assist with office walk-in and telephone inquiries, monitor and respond to Registrar's Office emails
- Assist with processes related to academic advising, preregistration, and registration, including preparation of course schedules for all terms
- Complete operations in the registration and advising modules in Jenzabar
- Maintain and assist with entering and managing data in Jenzabar academic database and processing administrative and student forms
- Run midterm and end-of-semester processes to post grades and prepare reports as needed
- Maintain, archive, and retain all records in the Registrar's Office in accordance with FERPA regulations and best practices
- Assist with preparation of commencement program, assist with the commencement ceremony as needed, as well as order diplomas and diploma covers as required
- Participate in professional development activities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work closely with members of the Office of Academic Affairs and provide assistance when needed.
- Create and maintain documentation of office procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the continued improvement of the Registrar's Office through active
participation in meetings, training, and professional development opportunities - Comply with the College procedures, guidelines, and regulations relating to FERPA and confidentiality of information
- Support the Registrar and Assistant Registrar for Transfer Services with additional tasks as needed
- Engage in and support strategic planning for the Registrar's Office and the Office of Academic Affairs
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: At least three years' experience in an office setting is required Previous experience in higher education is preferred.
