Westminster Schools of Augusta is a Pre-K through12 regionally accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling over 600 students. The 34-acre campus is located in a residential section of Augusta, which is Georgia’s second largest metropolitan area. The school is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Augusta (PCA), but the student body and faculty include members from more than 90 different local churches of various denominations.

Westminster Schools of Augusta seeks a dynamic and strategic DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee an athletic program committed to glorifying God in teaching through competitive challenge.
- Lead coaching staff in the implementation of a Christian philosophy for athletics.
- Disciple coaches in their spiritual journeys.
- Provide vision for the program that can reach into the greater CSRA.
- Work with student-athlete leaders to build healthy culture within teams.
- Hire the best coaches who embody our mission and values by working closely with the Head of School and Principals to coordinate faculty-coaching hiring decisions.
- Promote healthy public relations between Westminster and the Augusta community working with the Director of Marketing/Communications to publicly recognize athletic achievement.
- Work collaboratively with the Athletic Booster Club and Athletic Council
- Lead Westminster in its membership with GIAA and CSRA Middle School League
- Oversees athletic and facility schedules and early dismissals working closely with division principals.
- Work to secure partnerships with parents regarding student participation in athletic programs.
- Participate in the life of the school.
- Oversee athletic budget.
- Represent Westminster at various state, regional, and national athletic associations.
- Supervise the Associate Athletic Director
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and digital communication skills will be critical.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Coaching experience
- A working knowledge of independent school culture, safety regulations, admissions regulations, and injury prevention are encouraged.
