Position Summary
The Civic Connections team is a program offered through the Dumke Center for Civic Engagement. The program coordinators will lead the programming and engagement efforts around community engaged learning activities both on and off campus. This position will oversee the vision, strategic leadership, and program logistics of our direct service and activism work.
Additionally, as part of the personnel within the Dumke Center, this position will support other center general operations and support the other student development programs and collaboration among other student employees.
This position has a lot of flexibility. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for direct service and activism and are excited to work with and promote the Dumke Center for Civic Engagement.

Additionally, as part of the personnel within the Dumke Center, this position will support other center general operations and support the other student development programs and collaboration among other student employees.
This position has a lot of flexibility. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for direct service and activism and are excited to work with and promote the Dumke Center for Civic Engagement.
- Help plan 2 annual days of service for the Westminster campus that totals over 500 people-1 off campus and 1 on campus
- Event planning skills required. The civic connections team plans 4-5 service events per semester, mostly off campus with local non-profits.
- Acquire knowledge of and organize activities around local issues and ways to engage reciprocally with our non-profit community
- Collaborate with all Dumke employees to support overall work
- Passion for service and working knowledge of current civic engagement issues
- Excellent communication skills to utilize for both Westminster community and with the greater Salt Lake community. Will be contacting non-profits, and other leaders in the community on a regular basis.
- Some experience in event planning
- Must be research and tech savvy
- Excellent team player that takes initiative
