Description
Performs direct resident care according to the Nursing Care Plans. Documents services provided as required by facility policy. Assures that proper safety measures are followed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY:
- Perform or assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming
- Weigh residents
- Assist with bathing
- Take vital signs
- Performs hand on assistance with proper transfers and proper body alignment.
- Makes beds and take out trash.
- Prepare residents for meals
- Assist with escorting residents
- Keep resident rooms neat and orderly in accordance with infection control policies
- Collect urine and stool specimens as requested
- Computer knowledge
- Deliver medisets and medication reminders.
- Assists with maintaining adequate nutritional status
- Responsible for safe practices in all areas of work
- Uses supplies and equipment economically and charges accordingly
- Performs any other duties or assumes any other responsibilities as directed by the Charge Nurse, DON, or Administrator
- Attend and participate in continuing educational programs
- Exposure to body fluids and body waste
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Nursing Assistant certificate from approved state program
- Current fingerprint Clearance card ADPS
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Prolong standing or walking
