POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the provision of patient care by performing professional nursing duties established by policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY:
- Performs direct patient care.
- Supervises direct patient care personnel.
- Medication administration and documentation.
- Treatments as ordered by the MD, including but not limited to wound care.
- Oxygen therapy.
- Follows the individual patient care plan.
- Recognizes any change in patient condition and implements appropriate nursing care and action for the patient.
- Participates in regular staff meetings and staff development as required.
- Consults with Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing and other disciplines to provide optimal care.
- Nursing documentation and report.
- Communicates with patients, families and MDs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Valid in good standing LPN license through the State of Arizona Board of Nursing.
- Current fingerprint clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Prolong standing and walking
