Duties
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with daily living activities, providing personal care and support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care activities using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide compassionate support to residents and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding medication management.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care, preferably in acute care, home care, or assisted living settings.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and practices.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient health monitoring.
- Experience using electronic medical record systems like Epic is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
