KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
The Group Sales Manager would play a crucial role in driving group revenue, ensuring memorable experiences for guests, and maintaining the hotel’s position as a preferred luxury venue for group events.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to target and acquire group business, including corporate meetings, social events, weddings, and other large gatherings.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new group sales opportunities and trends in the luxury travel and hospitality industry.
- Set and achieve sales goals and revenue targets for group bookings.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agencies, and meeting coordinators to secure group bookings.
- Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs and propose customized packages or services tailored to their group’s specific requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure the hotel’s standards are met during the booking process and throughout the event.
Contract Negotiation and Event Coordination:
- Negotiate group contracts, room rates, food and beverage packages, meeting room rentals, and other event-related services.
- Collaborate with the hotel’s event planning team to ensure smooth coordination of all aspects of group events, from initial booking to final execution.
- Ensure contracts are properly executed, payments are collected, and all logistics are addressed.
Cross-department Collaboration:
- Work closely with the hotel’s marketing, operations, and event planning teams to create and execute promotional campaigns targeting group clients.
- Coordinate with the reservations department to manage room blocks, special rates, and accommodations for group guests.
- Collaborate with food and beverage teams to ensure high-quality catering and dining options for group events.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Track and report on group sales performance, including revenue generated, booking conversion rates, and other key metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, contracts, and group event details in the hotel’s CRM or sales system.
- Provide regular updates to the Sales Director or General Manager regarding the progress of group sales efforts.
Networking and Industry Representation:
- Attend networking events, industry trade shows, and conferences to promote the hotel and establish new group sales opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at industry functions, fostering connections with key decision-makers and influencers in the luxury event market.
Brand Ambassadorship:
- Serve as an ambassador for the hotel’s brand, maintaining a strong focus on the luxury experience and ensuring all sales activities reflect the hotel’s high standards of service and quality.
- Customize proposals, presentations, and communications to reflect the hotel’s unique offerings and appeal to the target group market.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in group sales, event sales, or hotel sales, preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of the luxury hospitality market and group event planning processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel sales and event management software (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce, or similar).

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in group sales or related roles, with a focus on luxury or boutique properties.
- Previous experience working with high-end clientele is highly desirable.
