Functional Competencies
1. Responsible for managing labor costs.
2. Develop and maintain inventory system for pool chemicals, cleaning supplies, pool equipment, and other necessary supplies.
3. Ensure that all sales are accounted for in the daily sales system via chit system with reconciliation bi-weekly.
4. Works with the accounting department to ensure that all record keeping procedures are consistently followed.
5. Meet with AGM as needed to discuss issues and areas of expenditure improvement.
6. Plans and directs special events such as holidays.
7. Arranges a program for private and group swim and diving lessons, as well as the children’s swim team.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements
1. Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of aquatics/pool administration.
2. The ability to plan, promote, and evaluate aquatic recreation services for the pool.
3. Leadership skills.
4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
5. Ability to effectively manage and support the lifeguard and swim instructor staff.
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/ Qualifications Required Certified Lifeguard training (American Red Cross), Ellis Associates, or YMCA LGT equivalency)
1. CPR – Adult/Child –Red Cross or AHA
2. AED – Adult/Child – Red Cross or AHA
3. First Aid – Red Cross or AHA
4. Bloodborne Pathogens – Red Cross or AHA
5. Certified Pool Operator (preferred)
4. Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks.
