Description
As a Fitness Floor Monitor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for members. You will be responsible for monitoring wellness center activities, enforcing rules and safety regulations, assisting members with equipment usage, and ensuring the cleanliness of fitness equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain fitness floor, stretch room, yoga studio, Great Hall and assist with Elite Performance Center.
- Monitor fitness activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and gym policies.
- Provide guidance when requested to members regarding proper equipment use
- Enforce rules and policies to maintain a safe and orderly environment on the fitness floor, proper attire, cell phone usage, respect for other members using weight machines.
- Conduct regular inspections of fitness equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Clean and sanitize fitness equipment, including machines, weights, and accessories.
- Assist with resolving member inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Aide Fitness Operations Manager and Wellness Operations Manager with various administrative duties
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team and Fitness Operations Manager and Wellness Operations Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness floor, re-racking weights, picking up towels, and ensuring equipment is returned to its proper place.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as replacing batteries in equipment and refilling sanitizer dispensers.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fitness-related role or customer service position (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercise techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to enforce rules and policies in a firm but courteous manner.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR and first aid certification (preferred).
