Guides campers through a daily schedule of fun and enriching activities, while ensuring that all campers have a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in all activities with camper and teaches necessary skills, providing encouragement and support, etc.
- Assists with planning of activities and provides appropriate level activities for the campers when necessary.
- Is flexible and realizes the needs of campers are foremost.
- Reports all accidents and injuries to camp director and or the assistant camp director and logs them in the logbook.
- Safeguards all camp equipment and supplies making sure that they are in a safe condition when they are being used and properly stored.
- Transports and arranges supplies for activities as needed and puts them away at the end of the camp day in an orderly way.
- Performs periodic inventory.
- Assists in providing other Junior Activities at the club. Ex. movie nights, 4th of July family fun day, Monday night barbeque activities.
- Assists with serving and clean up at lunch time.

- Willing and able to fill-in for other positions/roles at the club if necessary.

Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to interact with campers, parents, and staff professionally and effectively.
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/ Qualifications Required
- CPR – Adult/Child
- AED – Adult/Child
- First Aid
- 16 years of age.
- Satisfactorily completed a camp counselor orientation program prior to the arrival of campers.
- Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks.
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, sitting, and walking during work hours.
- Lifting and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs.
Standard Club Requirements:
Employees are expected to present a clean and neat appearance while on the job. Clothing is to be kept clean and pressed. Personal cleanliness is expected, including wearing deodorant, bathing and oral hygiene. Excessive make-up and jewelry is not permitted. Employees are expected to arrive to work on time and leave personal belongings at home or in a locker. Employees should conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with members, management and other staff.
Work Hours:
Full and Part time employees must work all scheduled shifts. We have a short three month season at the Westmoor Club and need every employee to be here 100% of the time that they were hired for. Requested days off will try to be honored by management but never guaranteed. If there is a scheduling need within the club, that takes priority. This includes Holiday’s, Mornings, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends. If an employee is sick they are expected to get their shift covered and speak directly to a manager for approval. All employee shift changes must be put in writing on a (shift change request form) and approved by a manager. We do understand that people get sick and things come up so please be flexible and helpful to other employees that may need a shift covered.
