To carry out to the best of their ability club tennis activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments and lessons..

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides lessons and clinics relating to the techniques and strategies of tennis to members and guests.
2. Administers and officiates at tournaments, exhibitions and social events.
3. Administers and enforces club tennis policies and procedures regarding play on club courts.
4. Strings rackets and performs other light equipment repairs.
5. Helps with maintenance, repair and cleaning of courts with grounds and maintenance departments.
6. Helps with the tennis shop.
7. Ensures that all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention to all their tennis needs.
8. Inspects and maintains all physical areas constantly.
9. Represents the club in area professional tennis activities with approval from the club.

Qualifications

• Applicant must demonstrate competence in all areas of teaching tennis, with a minimum of 3 years as a full time teaching professional.
•  In depth knowledge of the “Quick Start” tennis program is also expected.

Standard Club Requirements: 

Employees are expected to present a clean and neat appearance while on the job.  Clothing is to be kept clean and pressed.  Personal cleanliness is expected, including wearing deodorant, bathing and oral hygiene.  Excessive make-up and jewelry is not permitted.  Employees are expected to arrive to work on time and leave personal belongings at home or in a locker.  Employees should conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with members, management and other staff.   

Work Hours: 

Tennis professionals are expected to work 6 days a week during the season, with either a Saturday or a Sunday off.  On working days the professional gets paid for the hours that he is giving lessons.  Lessons hours are from 8am to 7pm.

We have a short three month season at the Westmoor Club and need every employee to be here 100% of the time that they were hired for. 

Requested days off will try to be honored by management but never guaranteed.
