Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fleet / Equipment Manager to join our team at Westmore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, and forklifts. You will also be responsible for coordinating and scheduling repairs, conducting safety inspections, and managing inventory of parts and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and track our fleet of vehicles and other equipment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with national lease and service providers.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize fleet utilization and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of fleet inventory, maintenance, and repairs.
- Escalate maintenance issues to supervisor.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in fleet or equipment management.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Experience with inventory management and procurement.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software, including fleet management software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
