What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Support Technician position at WESTMORELAND CASEMANAGEMENT AND SUPPORTS, INC.?
A full-time non-exempt position with primary working hours of Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (37.5 hours/week) with a half an hour lunch.
The Information Technology Support Technician position requires basic knowledge of device setup, ability to follow procedures, willingness to learn IT tools, good organizational and communication skills, and the physical ability to move equipment. Preferred candidates have experience with user tools, imaging, or help desk systems. Relevant education (coursework or associate degree in IT) and prior technical/support experience are required.
Overview of duties and responsibilities of the IT Development and Services Specialist position:
- Deploy and configure laptops, monitors, and peripherals; support software installations; reimage and wipe devices; provide Tier 1 hardware/software support.
- Replace and maintain printers, toner, and accessories; assist with phone setups and device tracking.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes; manage user setups, access inventory, and IT admin consoles.
- Maintain asset records; tag and track equipment; retrieve devices from former employees; document lost/damaged assets.
- Follow and improve SOPs; assist in inventory audits; document recurring technical issues.
- Ensure all procedures meet internal compliance and policy standards.
