Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dermatopathology Lab Tech at Westmoreland Dermatology & Surgery Center located in Columbus, MS. The Lab Tech will be responsible for operating laboratory equipment, conducting quality control tests, utilizing analytical skills, and performing various laboratory procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree 60 semester hours including either 24 of medical laboratory technology courses, or 24 hours of science courses (6 hours chemistry,6 hours biology, and 12 hours in chemistry,biology or medical lab tech, or any combination.
- Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory Skills
- Quality Control and Analytical Skills
- Experience working as a Laboratory Technician is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of dermatopathology procedures is a plus
