Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research is looking to fill our Purchasing Clerk role. In this position you will be involved in all purchases needing to be placed to sustain all business needs. These purchases can range from basic office necessities to large equipment purchase orders. This role works with all departments and every level within the organization. Highly motivated, personable, and enthusiastic candidates are needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiles purchase requests and prepares purchase orders
- Tracks purchases and monitors company supplies
- Compares prices of various items to ensure quality products are being obtained for a minimal cost
- Shipping (domestic and international) and Receiving
- Billing, reporting, and reconciling statements
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship required
- High school or equivalent required
- Previous experience in office administration or relevant fields is required
- Purchasing experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as other organizational/planning tools
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time-management skills
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of time
