Job Description
Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Inc. is a world leader in materials testing for the Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear and Medical industries.
The materials we machine and test are commonly used in commercial aircrafts, national defense applications, rockets, and many everyday items.
Responsibilities:
- Produce test specimens that correlate with customer specifications and blueprints.
- Operate machinery such as saws, manual mills, CNC mills and lathes.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Mechanically inclined individuals preferred.
- CNC operation/programming experience preferred.
- Auto CAD experience preferred.
- Experience working with and understanding blueprints preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of M and G codes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. in a physical environment.
- Ability to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of time.
