What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver (Substitute) position at Westmorland Union Elementary School District?
Job Summary
Under direction of an assigned supervisor, drives a school bus over a prescribed route,
- picking up and delivering students according to established schedules and time lines;
- assures proper functioning of the school bus and the health and safety of passengers;
transports students to and from school, field trips, athletic and other special events.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of safe and
successful driving experience; or any combination of training and / or experience that
could likely provide and enable demonstration of the desired knowledge and abilities.
Possession of a valid Class B; a California driver's license and School Bus Driver's
Certificate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles at all times; Successful
completion of First Aid examination pursuant to the requirement contained in California
an H-6 driving record; Training documents (T-01); and the ability to qualify and maintain
qualification for District vehicle insurance coverage at all times.
