JOB TITLE: LVN SCHEDULER

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to promote resident independence and dignity. Also responsible for facility scheduling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care of any residents assigned
- Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
- Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
- Answer call lights in a timely manner
- Assist or feed residents
- Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care
- Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
- Monthly schedule development based on facility budgeted PPD
- Complete and post daily schedule
- Complete daily staffing sheet postings and maintain one year of postings
- Work to replace staff for PTO/sick requests, call in's, absenteeism
- Track attendance of clinical team members
- Work on the floor as a CNA or CMA as needed
- Participate in on call schedule as assigned
- Understand and adhere to the guidelines of “Residents Rights” and assure resident safety
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Current LVN license
- CPR certified required; 30 days will be given to complete a course and get certified
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to work flexibly and positively with intermittent interruptions
- Ability to speak clearly and provide educational skills that are conducive to a good learning environment in training staff on skill related work; good customer service
Preferred
- 2 years nurse experience in long term care/skilled nursing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned; including some weekends evenings and holidays
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical
