Project Manager - LSP

Weston & Sampson is looking for a Project Manager who is a Licensed Site Professional (LSP) or on the LSP track to join our growing Environmental group, consisting of over 50 staff including seven LSPs. An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience with assessment and remediation of Massachusetts Disposal Sites in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). The Ideal candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the assessment and remediation of oil and/ or hazardous material and experience working with public, municipal, and private clients. Strong writing and interpersonal skills are required. 

This position can be based in any of our New England offices but Reading or Foxborough, MA are preferred. Periodic local travel, site visits and in person meetings will be required. Weston & Sampson utilizes a hybrid work environment to foster both collaboration and flexibility for employees. 

What you'll do:

• Working under the direction of an LSP, utilize extensive knowledge of the MCP and working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the assessment and remediation of oil and/ or hazardous material for public clients. 
• Prepare sampling and analysis plans, reports documenting environmental assessment, remedial planning, and related activities in accordance with applicable regulations 
• Prepare contract plans and technical specifications for site remediation 
• Supervise and lead project teams to perform environmental and engineering studies and designs using recognized industry standards and regulatory- compliant approaches at cleanup sites and redevelopment projects in MA.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior engineering staff
• Pursue new work opportunities through established client relationships and competitive pursuits, including participation in proposal development and interviews/ presentations.
• Participate in professional organizations and technical committees 
• Develop and define project scope, schedule, and dee: determine work procedures, staffing and sub-consultant assignments. 
• Supervise multiple projects and clients along with managing technical, budgetary and client aspects of projects 

What you will bring:

• Professional registration as a Massachusetts LSP or LSP track with MCP experience required. Additional certifications such as, PE, PG, LEP, and LSRP a plus
• Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience including subsurface investigations, construction oversight, report preparation, review, and certification
• Current OSHA 10 and 40 certification 
• Experience and ability to conduct business and/or client development preferred.
• Experience working in the Environmental field with the focus on Project Management, site investigation and remediation of contaminated sites in and around MA. 
• Experience overseeing field services (e.g., construction oversite, soils logging, drilling oversight) is a requirement.
• Experience with client management and business development 
• Ability to manage the workload demands of diverse projects 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to work well with multiple staff members and clients 
• Positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others 
• Valid drivers license required.
