What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer 2025 Co-Op Environmental/Civil Engineer (Reading, MA) position at Weston & Sampson?
Weston & Sampson is seeking Environmental or Civil Engineering students for our Summer 2025 Co-Op program. You will be working within the environmental discipline focused on environmental site assessment, remediation, and other environmental projects. You will be introduced to a variety of multi-disciplinary projects including with climate resiliency, civil, environmental, geotechnical, water, wastewater, structural, landscape architecture, and architecture. This position will be located in Reading, MA.
What you’ll do:
Students will be assisting the engineering staff with project related tasks but including:
- Data calculations and reporting
- Research analysis
- Design of plans and specifications
- Field Work
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related engineering field
- Students with 2 years of coursework completed are preferred
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to effectively organize, manage and coordinate multiple assignments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Introductory knowledge of AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS is preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
