The Graphic Artist will serve to further the mission, values, and strategy of Westover Hills Church through creative arts and multimedia design. The primary role of the Graphic Artist is to assist the church, staff, and ministry teams with all print and digital media. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits and reports to the Worship Pastor.
What You Will Do:
- Provide consistent, excellent, reliable, and productive service to the church staff, ministries and community within scope of responsibility.
- Develop structure and systems to make the Creative Ministry more effective.
- Increase volunteer participation in Creative Ministry.
- Steward and advance the mission of the church through creative elements.
- Work with the Creative team on a range of print and digital projects for weekends, ministry projects and promotions, and special events.
- Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to develop creative projects from concept (brainstorming, conceptualizing, presentation) to completion (file packaging and sharing, publishing, coordinating with outside services and printers).
- Maintain brand standards, style, and overall message of Westover Hills Church.
- Can work both collaboratively and individually to accomplish creative tasks and goals.
- Lead volunteers to accomplish creative tasks to further ministry projects.
- Shepherd and invest in the lives of ministry volunteers
- Maintain a regular schedule of office hours during the week and attend staff meetings and events as necessary.
- Become active in the life of Westover Hills Church by attending weekly services, upholding our core beliefs and values, and living out the mission of the church
- Able to create within the Westover Hills Church brand standards.
Skills Needed to Succeed:
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Well-organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detailed with an affinity for consistency, typography, and color use.
- Website and/or mobile app experience
- Church or non-profit experience
- Experience setting up artwork and working with printers for t-shirts, print materials, banners, and outdoor signage.
- Experience with photography, video and animation.
- Proficient in After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom and other Adobe CC products.
- 2 years of experience
