Principle Function:
The Nursery Staff position is a Part-Time Hourly position that provides support for our Westover families by supplying childcare during worship services and special events for newborns up to two-year-old.
Normal hours are Saturdays 5:00 7:15 pm and Sundays 8:30 am to 1 pm.
Nursery staff might be needed for special events on other days and times.
Specific List of Responsibilities:
- Receive, nurture, and treasure each child as Gods gift
- Organize and prepare classroom activities.
- Train and develop volunteers.
- Nurture and support families in caring for their children.
- Ensure children have good hygiene and change diapers as necessary.
- Assure nurseries are safe, clean, and inviting to parents and children alike.
- Maintain nurseries in such a manner that our children and their parents feel confident and secure in using the facilities, so that all may have a positive and affirming experience with the church

- Tasks, opening duties, closing duties, tool usage, etc.

- Clocking in and clocking out (with event exceptions)

- Sees it; owns it (reports it) - Does not wait for tickets to arrive

- Helps when possible and is self-motivated
- Is a servant leader
- Servant to all ministries

- Serving on a church staff places a person in a ministry context. This necessitates personal integrity, moral godliness, spiritual attitude, a serving heart, and spiritual excellence. (Eph.4:25-32; 5:1-7, 15-18; Phil. 4:8-9; 2:14; Gal. 5:19-21)
- Extend the heart and spirit of the church, and ultimately the Lead Pastor.
