Position Summary:
As an Accounting Intern, you will assist the accounting team with various tasks, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, vendor dispute resolution and client dispute resolution. This is a great opportunity to learn about the financial processes that drive a business and build practical skills for your future career.
Qualifications
Position Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with billing and gain an understanding of the billing process.
- Support the accounts receivable team as needed.
- Help manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist in preparing and organizing financial reports.
- Assistance with collections and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Assist in resolving client disputes, credits, and addressing any invoice-related questions.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Clearance:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Competencies:
- Reliable transportation and attendance.
- Positive attitude and a passion for learning.
- Have a passion for execution and success.
- Goal-Oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results.
- Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of Accounting Principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Bilingual is a plus, ability to speak, write, and read in English and Spanish proficiently.
