What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Staffing Coordinator position at Westpark Village?
The Staffing Coordinator plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to perform staffing duties and staffing recordkeeping functions to assist the Director of Nursing in meeting the staffing needs of the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, to ensure that proper staffing requirements are always maintained.
Essential Job Functions
- Consult with the Director of Nursing concerning staffing needs to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services.
- Ensure that the facility is adequately staffed to fulfill resident’s needs.
- Performs daily and monthly staffing in accordance with management instructions.
- Create and present staffing reports to the Executive Director on a timely basis.
- Maintain attendance records accurately and timely and reports concerns to the Director of Nursing.
- Assist in reviewing and coordinating staffing procedures with the Director of Nursing.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, etc. Keep the staffing needs met as directed.
- Audit nursing staff time accurately and timely.
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
- Organize, evaluate and monitor staffing operations and assigned personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Other job-related functions as assigned.

- Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
- Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
- Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.
- Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
- Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of staffing processes and procedures preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory requirements.
