We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist and Operations Manager for our downtown Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have experience in both human resources management as well as general business operations. Desired characteristics include the ability to take initiative, collaborate with peers and colleagues, multi-task and prioritize as needed, and demonstrate high attention to detail.
This position is located in our downtown Chicago office, Monday through Friday, and is Full-Time. This position will work from the office and is not remote.
Responsibilities:
- Initial contact for employee relations issues to include: coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and documentation
- In coordination with HR Partner (PEO) coordinate all leave of absence requests – FMLA, disability, paid parental leave, etc.
- Maintain and update policy manual for 5-state firm footprint
- Provide support and guidance for performance management system
- Review and update job descriptions as needed
- Source, interview, and hire for firm personnel and tiered services program
- Onboard new staff members
- Develop and maintain building evacuation plans for 12 offices within firm footprint
- Local operations management as needed
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 Years Human Resources experience
- 2 Years Operations experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- No immigration sponsorship available for this role
- Experience with HR and Time Management Systems, preferred
