What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician position at Westside Animal Hospital?
Westside Animal Hospital is looking for a part-time or full-time kennel technician to add to our team!
In a market full of corporate, high-volume clinics, we are a locally-owned, small business. Our excellence in medical and surgical care, along with our focus on building and maintaining relationships with our clients, ensuring they’re informed and shown compassion, is what sets us apart. We have a wonderful, supportive team, who all take their work seriously but not themselves. As much as we enjoy our work-family, we value time with our own families just as much. To facilitate work-life balance we have standard operational hours which we do our best to strictly adhere to. We are open Monday-Friday with only half-days on Wednesdays. No two days are the same at our clinic and that’s part of what keeps us motivated! We see mostly cats and dogs, but our patients also include rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets and geckos. We love the balance of educating new pet owners, counseling owners when a beloved pet is at a crossroads, and restoring health and wellness through surgical innovation.
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Kennel Technician to join our team. The Kennel Technician will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld throughout the clinic. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a welcoming and sanitary environment for our animal patients, their owners, and our staff.

issues.
7. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe
working environment.
8. Feed, walk, & monitor patients and their spaces.
9. Handle and properly/gently restrain large patients and nervous/anxious patients
